Are you completely daunted by all the settings on your new DSLR camera? Not sure where to start?
Or have you been shooting on Auto and are keen to explore the possibilities and use your camera to its full potential?
This intro to digital shooting with Dubai pro photographer Tiffany Schultz will teach you the nuts and bolts of digital photography and will show you, in a very practical, hands-on way, how to take better photographs.
You will learn to take control over your camera’s settings and use them to creative effect, become familiar with technical jargon and get comfortable with your camera’s controls and menus. We will analyse each others’ work to discover what it is that makes a good photograph and how we can apply those principles to our own work.
The class size is small allowing for individual attention and being spread over 4 weeks, it allows you to absorb what is learned, practice and get feedback. There is a balance between classroom lecturing, interactive discussion, critique and practical application of the concepts learned.
In the final session session we will upload our photos and learn some powerful editing tools which will make your pictures even more breathtaking!
Fees are 1200 AED per person.
Includes: 4 X 4 hour sessions (total 16 hours of tuition)
Your course notes and homework projects with example images on disk

Classes take place on a Friday or Saturday afternoon from 2-6pm at the Photographer’s Studio on Al Wasl Road, Al Manara Area. You will require a DSLR camera to participate in the workshop. Please contact me if you need any advice or assistance.
In order to secure your place on the course, you are required to fill out the registration form and meet me at DUCTAC to pay the full course fees. There are limited places and they go very quickly! Please email me at workshops@tiffanyschultz.com to request a registration form!
Your place will only be secured once full payment has been received. You can do that through Timeout Tickets online (800-4669). I will also have registration evenings on Wednesdays from 7-8pm at the DUCTAC theatre reception in MoE if you would like to pay in cash. Bank details are on the registration form if you prefer to transfer the funds.

Lightroom Intensive Photo Editing Workshop
Learn how to make good photos extraordinary! This workshop will explore Adobe Lightroom in depth as a powerful photo organizing and editing tool. We will look closely at Library functions and at how to use targeted editing tools effectively for portraiture. We will also be focusing on how create beautiful black and white images. We will finish off with exporting images for print and for web.
Cost is 250 AED per person.
You will need to bring a laptop with Lightroom 2 or 3 installed and some RAW images to work on.
